Abstract

Abu Hamid al-Ghazali is considered one of the greatest thinkers of the Islamic world. His works paid particular attention to the issues of education and upbringing. This article analyses the significance of al-Ghazali's works on education and upbringing in the spiritual, moral and scientific development of young people. In his works he elucidated the purpose of knowledge, moral education, religious education and the ways by which a person attains perfection, and defined important directions in the correct upbringing of young people.
