FEATURES OF TENSION-FREE HERNIOALLOPLASTY IN THE SURGICAL TREATMENT OF STRANGULATED VENTRAL HERNIAS

Abstract
The results of the treatment of 125 patients with strangulated hernias of the anterior abdominal wall complicated by the development of intestinal obstruction, operated on using both traditional and tension-free repair methods, are presented. Enteral intubation and decompression of the intestine during surgery for strangulated hernias complicated by intestinal obstruction is one of the main measures for counteracting the increase in intra-abdominal pressure and for preventing intestinal failure syndrome in this pathology. The use of synthetic implants in strangulated hernias complicated by intestinal obstruction reduces the frequency of early local wound complications, including haematomas of the postoperative wound. The use of tension-free hernioplasty in patients with complicated strangulated hernias helps to reduce recurrences from 33,3% to 2,8%.
