Abstract
This scientific article concerns epilepsy, a disease widespread in medicine, which is one of the common diseases of the nervous system requiring long-term treatment. According to the statistical data of the European Commission on epilepsy, about 50 million people in the world suffer from epilepsy. The development of epilepsy is caused by hereditary and genetic factors and, following traumas and infectious diseases, by perinatal damage to the brain. At present, the number of patients with epilepsy in European countries is increasing.
