THE SALINITY STATE OF THE IRRIGATED MEADOW-GREY SOILS OF SIRDARYA REGION

Abstract

This article studies, on the basis of chemical analyses, the salinity state, the types and the degrees of salinity of the meadow-grey soils distributed over the irrigated areas of Khovos district of Sirdaryo region. In the course of the research, the amounts of the main cations (Na⁺, Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺) and anions (Cl⁻, SO₄²⁻, HCO₃⁻, CO₃²⁻) in the soil solution were determined, and the type and degree of salinity were assessed according to their ratio.
