Abstract

The results of the examination and treatment of 121 patients with ventral hernia and abdominoptosis who underwent surgical treatment are presented. In patients with abdominal hernias and abdominoptosis, adequate preoperative preparation and the application of the recommended algorithm for choosing the method of hernioallo- and alloplasty made it possible to reduce the frequency of postoperative complications from 14,8% to 8,9% (p=0,045), and also to reduce wound complications from 11,5% to 4,5%.
