Abstract

This article examines the use of metaphors among the general public, their wide use not only in literary texts but also in the field of medicine. In the 1st book of Ibn Sina's Canon of Medicine, certain processes connected with the parts of the body and the human organs are analysed on the basis of analogies, that is, of medical metaphors.
