METONYMIC COHESION FORMED BY MEANS OF ANTONYMS

Abstract
The article discusses the fact that twentieth-century linguistics began to study the immediate operating units of language and their changes, and that such research has been carried out in linguistics from a communicative-pragmatic point of view. Antonymy is interpreted as a category that determines the essence of language. At the same time, this categorial relation arises in particular speech situations as a possible connection of the parts of an opposition.
