Abstract
This article presents reflections on the principles of forming the psychological competences of future engineers in the system of higher education, on the conditions that exist for this, and on the qualifications and skills required of the teacher's personality in this regard. In addition, particular attention is paid to the tasks and requirements placed before the future engineer today, and to the necessity and importance of forming psychological competences in carrying out the necessary psychological preparation.
