Abstract

This study is aimed at investigating the relationship between the load current of the electric motor of the saw cylinder and the density of the raw roll in the cotton ginning process. Mathematical models were created and analysed in order to understand the stationary and unsteady technological processes associated with cotton ginning. Analytical expressions were obtained for determining the processing time of cotton and fibre, as well as the time required to convert the raw material into a finished product. Detailed information is given on the technologies used in the study, the equipment employed, and the methods of increasing their performance and efficiency. In addition, the influence of the type and moisture content of cotton on the quality indicators of the fibre is discussed. The findings help to gain a better understanding of the relationship between the density of the raw material and the load current of the electric motor of the saw cylinder.
