Abstract

The article analyzes the resource base, current projects, economic efficiency, grid integration, and environmental-social impact of wind power in Uzbekistan. According to IRENA data, by the end of 2025 the country's total installed wind capacity reached 1,652 MW, while total renewable electricity capacity reached 10,027 MW [1]. Official data note that in 2025 the share of “green” energy in generation reached nearly 30%, with a target of 54% by 2030 [2], [3]. The analysis shows that realizing wind potential is not limited to installing turbines: new 500 kV transmission lines, battery storage systems, accurate forecasting, bankable PPA contracts, biodiversity protection, and local workforce training must all be pursued as a single coherent policy.
