Article Processing Charges (APC)

 

"Research Focus" International Scientific Journal charges a single Article Processing Charge (APC) for each accepted manuscript.

APC amount

412,000 UZS (equivalent to one BHM — the Base Calculation Amount established by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan).

Note on the amount:
The BHM (Bazaviy hisoblash miqdori) is the official Base Calculation Amount set by the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and used as a reference unit for fees and payments throughout the country. The journal's APC is fixed at exactly one BHM. If the Government revises the BHM, the APC is adjusted accordingly, and the updated amount is published on this page.

When the fee applies

The APC is payable only after a manuscript has been accepted following peer review.

  • There is no submission fee.
  • Authors are never asked to pay before or during the review process.
  • Manuscripts that are rejected incur no charge.

What the APC covers

The journal is published in full open access, which means readers pay nothing. The APC is the journal's only source of revenue and covers the actual operating costs of publication:

  • DOI registration for each article through Crossref (membership fees and per-DOI deposit fees)
  • Membership fees and technical maintenance for international indexing databases
  • Web hosting and server maintenance for the journal platform (OJS)
  • Domain registration and SSL certificates
  • Plagiarism screening of every submitted manuscript
  • Editorial office work: manuscript handling, correspondence with authors and reviewers, coordination of the peer review process
  • Copy-editing, proofreading, and typesetting
  • Graphic design work: cover design, article layout, and preparation of publication-ready files
  • Accounting and administrative services required by law for the publishing organization
  • Long-term preservation and permanent online availability of published articles
  • Issuance of the acceptance letter, certificate, and electronic copy of the article to authors

Editorial independence

Payment of the APC has no influence whatsoever on the editorial decision.

Acceptance is determined solely by the scientific quality of the manuscript and the outcome of independent peer review.

The editorial decision is made before any payment is requested.

Authors who are unable to pay the APC may contact the editorial office at ReFocusJournal@gmail.com. Requests are considered individually.

No other charges

  • There are no submission fees.
  • There are no page charges.
  • There are no colour figure charges.
  • There are no charges to readers.
  • All published content is freely accessible to everyone.
