THE PLACE OF LOW-CAPACITY MICRO HYDROELECTRIC POWER PLANTS IN THE ENERGY SECTOR OF UZBEKISTAN AND THE STAGES OF THEIR DEVELOPMENT
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article examines the place and development of low-capacity micro hydroelectric power plants in Uzbekistan and the disadvantages and advantages of low-capacity micro hydroelectric power plants. Because of the growing demand for electricity, attention to small micro hydroelectric power plants and their use are developing. The renewals being carried out in our country today can be compared with the projects for the modernisation and reconstruction of existing power plants within the framework of the 2020-2030 concept and for the construction of new power plants using energy-efficient technologies for electricity generation. The dependence of low-capacity micro hydroelectric power plants on free-flowing rivers and canals and their operating conditions are briefly indicated. Our aim is to make efficient use of the energy of water (its velocity and potential, that is, in free motion).
