Abstract

In patients with calculous cholecystitis and choledocholithiasis it is advisable to perform hybrid operations using the proposed improved single-stage laparoscopic cholecystectomy with assisted endoscopic papillosphincterotomy by the Rendezvous technique and choledocholithoextraction. The proposed technique, devices and layout of the operating team are applicable in patients with acute and chronic cholecystitis and a moderate risk of choledocholithiasis, after the presence of calculi in the common bile duct has been confirmed by the data of intraoperative cholangiography performed through the cystic duct.
