ANGIOSOME-BASED APPROACH TO THE SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PURULENT-NECROTIC COMPLICATIONS OF DIABETIC FOOT

Abstract
In the developed countries of the world up to 5-6% of the population suffers from a complication of diabetes mellitus. Complications with a surgical infection in diabetes mellitus account for up to 30-4% of all surgical patients. Gangrene of the toes and of the foot as a whole develops 17 times more often in patients with diabetes mellitus than in people who do not suffer from diabetes. In recent years endovasal methods have been introduced in the choice of the method of surgical treatment of patients with purulent-necrotic complications of diabetic foot syndrome (DFS).
