Abstract

The clinical picture of the disease was first described in 1883 by the French dermatologist Alfred Fournier. This disease often occurs in young and middle-aged men. In rare cases it is found in women, accompanied by purulent-necrotic lesions of the genital organs. There is little information about this disease in the literature, and there is great uncertainty regarding its etiopathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment.
