Abstract

The directing of Uzbek theatre took shape at the beginning of the 20th century and has developed over almost a century. The directing of theatrical art is of great importance in further strengthening, by means of art, the spiritual foundations of the new life and the new society that we are building today. The article discusses the contemporary issues of the directing of Uzbek theatre in the new era. On the basis of the information presented, analytical opinions are expressed on the present-day importance of theatre directing, on the work that has been carried out and on its place in the life of society.
