FEATURES OF THE APPLICATION OF THE LAGOCHILUS PLANT IN BLEEDING OF THE GUMS.

Abstract

At present, treatment with medicinal plants is being applied on a wide scale in modern medicine. As in all the countries of the East, in Europe too the development of substances with high biological activity from the composition of plants and the creation of new medicines on their basis is advancing rapidly. Lagochilus, which possesses such high biological properties, is among the very widespread and highly promising medicinal plants. The activity of the natural compounds isolated from the composition of the Lagochilus plant and their use in medical practice occupy a special place. The fact that the main components of Lagochilus contain precisely vitamins C, K and P, which are water- and fat-soluble vitamins, makes the haemostatic property of this plant more manifest. Therefore, at present a deficiency of vitamins C, K and P occurs more frequently in patients and bleeding of the gums is observed. For this reason the efficacy of the Lagochilus plant is considered high precisely in bleeding of the gums. In this article the latest data on the preparation of the Lagochilus plant, as well as on its haemostatic potency and on the preparation of medicines from it in medicine, are presented.
