A CONCEPTUAL APPROACH TO FITNESS AND WELLNESS COACHING

Abstract
In the last decade, along with the development of the health care and fitness field in the world, interest has grown in the concept of “coaching”, which guides individuals engaged in physical exercise for various reasons. Indeed, according to the American College of Sports Medicine, both fitness coaching and wellness coaching are among the top ten fitness trends in the world. The aim of this study is to reveal the differences between health care and fitness establishments, and between the concepts of fitness and wellness, by clarifying them for managers and their staff.
