Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) remain a pressing problem in most countries of the world. First cardiovascular, and then other chronic non-communicable diseases became the leading cause of mortality of the population of economically developed countries [2]. At the same time, sufficient scientific knowledge has been accumulated to date to state the presence of factors that contribute to the development and progression of these diseases, the so-called risk factors (RF) [5]. The modern evidence-based strategy for the prevention of CVD is the concept of risk factor stratification.
