BIOLOGY OF LESS DISTRIBUTED LEAF LETTUCE
Main Article Content
Abstract
Lettuce is a cold-resistant plant, the green product ripens in open fields from early spring in late April to early May, until late autumn - mid-November. Lettuce is a long-day, light-loving plant. Lack of light prolongs the growing season. It is very sensitive to changes in the intensity of light. When there is not enough light, the growth of leaves slows down when planted densely. In conditions of long days, flowers and buds are formed quickly. Leaf lettuce does not require heat.
