Abstract

The article analyzes the possibilities of using literary texts in English lessons in non-linguistic faculties of universities. The article examines the possibility and necessity of using foreign-language popular science texts in teaching a foreign language to first-years students of non-linguistic faculties of universities, as well as characterizing the style of scientific and popular science literature in English.
