Abstract

This study examines the influence of microclimate conditions on the uniformity of silk thickness and explores the use of a mechatronic system for regulating these conditions. Environmental factors such as temperature and relative humidity play a decisive role in the growth and development of silkworms during the cocoon production process. The study emphasizes the importance of controlling the temperature and humidity levels in order to ensure stable and optimal cocoon production. In addition, the study examines the influence of temperature and humidity on the quality parameters of the cocoon. By using a mechatronic system it becomes possible to create an optimal microclimate during the cocoon formation process, which leads to improved uniformity of silk thickness and to higher quality of the resulting silk.
