Abstract

This article examines the issues of organising hand-to-hand combat training sessions for cadets studying within the subject 'Physical and Combat Training' at the educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The possibilities of assessing the effectiveness of the cadets' technical and tactical actions by presenting complex tasks in real combat models brought close to the conditions of a 'combat situation' during the sessions are considered. It is substantiated that sessions organised on the basis of games and training assignments serve to develop the cadets' skills of rapid decision-making, of assessing the situation and of carrying out effective counteractions against an opponent.
