Abstract
Tohir Malik regards oral folk art, that is, proverbs, as a treasury of lofty artistic thought, and proverbs have been an invaluable treasury of artistry in the moving expression and in the clear and profound elucidation of the speech of the characters of his works. In particular, in revealing the spirit of the epoch in his works, the writer also paid attention to individualising the speech of the characters through proverbs.
