MODERN APPROACHES TO THE DESIGN OF STREETS AND TRAFFIC INTERCHANGES IN TASHKENT

Abstract

This article examines modern approaches to the design of the street and road network and of the traffic interchanges of the city of Tashkent under conditions of intensive population growth and increasing traffic flow. Particular attention is paid to the preservation of cultural heritage — the mahallas — and to the need to organize parking zones inside them, especially near mosques and community centres.
