Abstract

This article discusses the use of plants of the genus Phlomoides in folk medicine, their chemical composition and their biological activity. Studies show that Phlomoides species contain biologically active substances such as flavonoids, iridoids, phenolic acids, saponins, alkaloids and essential oils, which possess anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, immunomodulatory and sedative properties. The practical significance of these plants in medicine, pharmaceutics and folk healing is analysed.
