Abstract

This article analyses the modern methods applied in teaching Uzbek as a second language and their effectiveness. It also examines the role of innovative methods in forming learners' language competence, the problems arising in the process of mastering the Uzbek language and the ways of overcoming them. The article reveals the scientific foundations of increasing effectiveness in the language learning process, of widely introducing modern methods into practice, and of applying new approaches in teaching Uzbek as a second language.
