THE VOLATILE COMPONENT COMPOSITION OF THE PLANT PHLOMOIDES BRACHYSTEGIA
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examined the composition of the volatile components of the plant Phlomoides brachystegia. Essential oils were isolated by hydrodistillation from samples of plants belonging to the genus Phlomoides growing in Namangan region and were analysed by GC-MS. The analysis identified bioactive components in the essential oil such as 2-Hexadecene, 3,7,11,15-tetramethyl (14.28%), Phenethyl alcohol (5.62%) and Methyl nicotinate (5.36%). The overall chemical spectrum was divided into classes such as aliphatic hydrocarbons (30.2%), aromatic compounds (25.6%), terpenoids and isoprenoids (18.7%). The practical significance of the identified components in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries was analysed. The rich essential oil content of the plant indicates the need to study it as a medicinal source.
