Abstract

Cerebral palsy remains the most topical of all childhood neurological diseases; moreover, the disease occupies a leading position owing to the large number of specialists dealing with this problem, in which many questions still remain open. Thus, whereas earlier this disease was considered, according to its aetiological features, to be rather a traumatic disorder occurring during childbirth, today the evidence base has accumulated a great deal of information about genetic predisposition, and therefore this disease is regarded as polyaetiological.
