Abstract
This article provides detailed information on the main routes of infection with worms (helminths), the mechanisms by which they enter the human body, their habitats, their negative effects on health, the risk groups, the clinical signs, the diagnostic methods, and also modern treatment and preventive measures. Particular attention is paid to the health and protection of children, to food hygiene, to compliance with sanitary and hygienic rules, and also to the importance of medical and preventive activities.
