Abstract
This article describes the importance and the technological advantages of the Automated Metering and Control System (ASKUE) in the energy sector. The system creates the possibility of accurately metering electric energy, monitoring it remotely and analysing consumption costs. The article analyses the main devices of ASKUE, their interaction and the effectiveness of their application in practice. It also indicates the possibilities of increasing energy efficiency and management effectiveness through the introduction of the system.
