Abstract

This article presents the results of the effect of ultraviolet radiation (UVR) on germination in field conditions and on the microelements of the soil through electrotechnological treatment of the seed of the Lazurniy rice variety. The results of the research established that the electrical effect of the UV irradiator on the plant and the pre-sowing treatment of the seeds with UVR lamps having a wavelength of 253,7+300 nanometres (nm) and a power of 30, 60, 90 Watt increased germination in field conditions by 50%, accelerated root formation by 30%, activated vital processes and considerably increased the content of humus, exchangeable potassium and mobile phosphorus in the soil.
