Abstract

Computed tomographic hernioabdominometry (CTHA) was performed in order to determine the size of the hernial orifice and the volume of the contents of the hernial sac, as well as for the preliminary determination of the method of hernioalloplasty and abdominoplasty. This method was performed in 58 (86.6%) patients with ventral hernias and morbid obesity. The obtained forms of disturbance of the topography of the anterior abdominal wall made it possible to devise rational preparation of the patient before the operation and also to choose the optimal method of hernioplasty individually for each patient.
