PSYCHOEMOTIONAL ASPECTS AND COGNITIVE DYSFUNCTION IN CHRONIC CEREBRAL CIRCULATORY INSUFFICIENCY: FROM DIAGNOSIS TO TREATMENT

Abstract
There is a great deal of debate and disagreement around a fundamental problem of neurology - brain disorders of vascular origin - primarily concerning the terminology reflecting the increase of focal and cognitive processes, where the term «dyscirculatory encephalopathy» is traditionally used, which does not reflect the specific causes of the disorders. In this connection, many authors emphasise the clinical forms of vascular diseases and their interaction with chronic cerebral ischaemia (or chronic cerebral circulatory insufficiency) associated with perfusion insufficiency against the background of dysfunction of the microcirculatory bed. In addition, literary sources single out the syndrome of cognitive disorders as the main basis of cerebral vascular disorders and as the leading sign of the disease.
