OPTIMAL SURGICAL TACTICS IN LIVER ECHINOCOCCOSIS

Abstract
We analyzed the results of the examination and treatment of 338 patients admitted over the last 10 years with liver echinococcosis to the general surgery clinic of the Samarkand Medical Institute. The age of the patients ranged from 5 to 81 years. The distribution of the patients into groups by age showed that 90.89% of the patients were people of working age. At present, multiple echinococcosis of the liver, recurrence of the disease or previously performed laparotomies, a complicated course of the disease, and the location of cysts in hard-to-reach segments of the liver are indications for performing echinococcectomy by the method of a wide upper midline laparotomy.
