Abstract
This article provides general information about the modern synthetic drugs used for the treatment of mental illnesses and about their chemical composition. In modern medicine the field of psychopharmacology is developing, and new types of antidepressants, antipsychotics, anxiolytics and tranquilizers are being created. The composition of these drugs, their mechanisms of action and their significance in treatment are analyzed extensively.
